Trust and data

You stay in control of every account you connect.

MARKA drafts and advises. You approve what goes out. This page sets out what we store, who processes it and what MARKA will not do.

Nothing publishes without you.

MARKA never writes and sends in one step. Every post waits in your calendar until you schedule it.

Marcus reads your ads and changes nothing.

MARKA reads your campaign, keyword and spend figures. It does not create, change or pause campaigns, and it never spends your budget.

We never see your card.

Paddle, our merchant of record, collects and processes your billing details. They are never sent to us.

You can leave and take nothing with us.

Deleting your account removes your connected-account tokens first, at once. Everything else goes within thirty days.

What we store

Only what the agents need to do the work.

MARKA follows South Africa’s Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA). The privacy policy has the full detail.

Read the privacy policy
Your briefThe business details in your Business Brain: what you sell, who buys, your prices, tone and the words you avoid.
Your conversationsThe messages you send the agents and their replies, on plans that keep history.
Your calendarDrafts, scheduled posts, images you upload and the results each post gets.
Connected accountsThe identity of each account you connect (its name and ID) and an access token that lets MARKA act for you. The token is the most sensitive thing we hold, which is why deletion removes it first.
Your leadsThe names and email addresses of your own contacts that you add to the lead pipeline, and the notes and status you record against them. MARKA stores them for you and never contacts them.
Files you uploadThe documents you add to your Business Brain, the images you add to posts and the monthly report PDFs, kept in your own folder and removed when you delete your account.
Tasks and teamThe tasks you create and, if you use a team, its members and invitations.
Who processes it

The companies that run parts of MARKA.

Connecting an account is optional. Meta, LinkedIn and Google Ads see nothing from MARKA unless you connect them.

SupabaseDatabase and sign-in. Your data is stored on servers in the European Union.
AnthropicThe AI model (Claude) that writes the agents' replies. Your messages and your brief are sent to it to generate each answer.
PaddleMerchant of record: checkout, payment processing and invoices.
ResendThe emails MARKA sends you, such as failed-post alerts.
VercelHosting.
MetaOnly if you connect Facebook or Instagram: your Page identity, the posts you publish through MARKA and their results.
LinkedInOnly if you connect a profile or company page: its identity and the posts you publish. LinkedIn returns results for company pages only.
GoogleOptional Google sign-in, and, if you connect Google Ads, read access to your campaign, keyword and spend figures.
Status

Can I connect my Instagram today?

Not yet. Meta has to approve the app before accounts outside our own can connect Instagram, and that review is in progress. Facebook Page publishing switches on once Meta approves it. Everything else is available now: the agents, the calendar, the Google Ads and SEO work. You can schedule posts and copy them out until the connection opens.

Leaving

Delete your account whenever you like.

Deletion removes the access token for every connected account first, so MARKA can no longer reach them. Everything else goes within thirty days, apart from financial records South African tax law requires us to keep for five years.
