Refund policy
Last updated: 16 October 2026
The short version: ask within 14 days of a payment and you get that payment back in full. You do not have to give a reason. You can also cancel at any time, which stops the next payment.
MARKA plans are billed monthly in US dollars at one price worldwide: $19 Starter, $49 Pro, $99 Business.
1. Who you are buying from
MARKA is sold through Paddle, which acts as the merchant of record for every purchase. Paddle handles the payment, the tax and the invoice, so Paddle, not Akira Digital, is the name that appears on your bank or card statement.
Because Paddle is the seller, refunds are issued by Paddle. This policy sits alongside Paddle's refund policy and Paddle's buyer terms, and nothing here limits any right those give you.
2. Refunds
Request a refund within 14 days of the payment and it is returned in full. No reason is required and no conditions are attached.
Once a refund is issued, access to the paid plan ends and the account moves to the free plan.
3. How to request one
Go to paddle.net, choose “I need help with a recent purchase” and then “Request refund”. You can also use the “View receipt” or “Manage subscription” link in the confirmation email Paddle sent you when you paid.
Refunds are returned to the payment method they were taken from, normally within 14 days of approval.
If you would rather talk to us first, email info@akiradigital.co.za and we will help. That is in addition to the route above, never instead of it: you never need our permission to claim a refund from Paddle.
4. Cancelling
You can cancel at any time from your account settings, or through the “Manage subscription” link in any Paddle receipt. Cancelling stops the next payment. You keep full access until the end of the period you have already paid for, and then move to the free plan.
You do not need to email anyone, give a reason, or complete a retention call.
5. Your statutory rights
Consumer law in some countries gives you a withdrawal or cancellation right that is longer or broader than the 14 days above. Where it does, that right applies and this policy does not reduce it. Paddle applies whichever protection is highest.
If MARKA is faulty, unavailable, or not as described, your rights are unaffected by any time limit in this policy.
6. Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, the date at the top of this page changes with it, and the version in force is the one published when you were charged. Material changes are emailed to anyone on a paid plan before they take effect.
This policy sits alongside the terms of service and the privacy policy. Cancelling is not the same as deleting your data. To remove what MARKA holds about you, see how to delete your data.
